Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that one of the reasons why he signed Kai Havertz was because he has already won the Champions League.
The Gunners returned to Europe’s most prestigious club competition this season after a six-year wait. They’d love to go on and win it, and there’s only one man at the club who knows how to score the winning goal in the Champions League final – Havertz!

Mikel Arteta thinks Kai Havertz can become Arsenal’s Champions League star
Arsenal have had a mixed start in the Champions League this season.
The Gunners battered PSV Eindhoven on the opening day but suffered a 2-1 loss to French side RC Lens on Matchday two.
Kai Havertz started both of those fixtures but failed to impress. He is again expected to start tonight against Sevilla, and Mikel Arteta thinks he could become a star for the Gunners in the Champions League because of his experience of winning the competition.
When asked if Arsenal fans will get to see the best of Havertz in the Champions League because he has already won it, Arteta said, as per Arsenal.com: “That’s certainly one of the reasons, plus quality and the number of things he has already done in his career at his age.
“And then, to improve the starting XI as well because he has tremendous quality, and that is going to help us to be better.”

Havertz has looked really good recently
Kai Havertz has received more criticism this season than any other Arsenal player. An argument can even be made that he has been unfairly treated.
The 24-year-old German struggled to hit the ground running at the Emirates. He looked like a man struggling for confidence, but in Arsenal’s last two games, he has been brilliant.
Havertz played a key part in the Gunners’ win over Manchester City before the international break. He had a positive impact in the game against Chelsea as well.
Arteta is expected to start Havertz against Sevilla tonight, and if he can continue his good form, he could well become Arsenal’s Champions League star this season.
