Tottenham Hotspur are optimistic about completing a deal to sign Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin soon.
That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who has shared an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Radu Dragusin.
Spurs are widely expected to snap up a new centre-back this month and Dragusin seems to be their top target at this stage.
Indeed, Ange Postecoglou is reportedly pushing for Spurs to sign the Genoa star.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Dragusin has already agreed personal terms with Tottenham ahead of a potential switch to North London.
Spurs are yet to agree a fee with Genoa for the Romanian defender. But Rudy Galetti claims the two clubs are just a ‘few million’ away from completing a deal.
Tottenham optimistic over Dragusin deal
Galetti took to X on Tuesday morning and claimed that Spurs are looking to complete a deal to sign Dragusin as soon as possible.
He wrote: “Dragusin, talks between Tottenham and Genoa are progressing well, at a good pace.
“There is still a gap of a few million, but on English club’s side there is optimism to finalise the deal.
“New round of talks expected soon: the aim is to reach an agreement as soon as possible.”
Dragusin has starred for Genoa in Serie A this term, racking up a total of 18 league appearances.
The 21-year-old has also netted two goals and provided one assist from centre-back.
Tottenham are currently short of options in central defence, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both currently sidelined with hamstring injuries.
Van de Ven is expected to make a comeback within the next couple of weeks after returning to training. But Romero could be out until the end of January.

It feels vital that Spurs snap up a new centre-back as soon as possible ahead of some difficult games this month.
With Dragusin reportedly available for around £26 million, it feels like a no-brainer from Tottenham’s point of view.
The Genoa star would provide solid cover for both Romero and Van de Ven while offering a different profile of defender. Dragusin is particularly dominant in the air and excels at defending on the front-foot, which would lend itself well to Postecoglou’s style of football.
