Tottenham Hotspur have long been linked with a move to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but the Lazio midfielder will now cost Spurs an eye-watering £105 million.
Even though they haven’t been playing well, Tottenham are in a decent position. They’ve lost just one game in all competitions, but watching them definitely makes you wonder how incredible they’ll be if they find a midfielder who can score goals and create chances.
A player like Milinkovic-Savic would be perfect for them.

President says Tottenham target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will cost £105m
Just two months ago, CalcioMercatoWeb reported that Antonio Conte was ‘crazy’ about Milinkovic-Savic and was plotting a £50.8 million move to sign him.
No move materialised in the summer and Spurs decided to stick with just one new signing in the middle of the park – Yves Bissouma. The Mali international has barely played this season, which begs the question if Spurs will try to sign another midfielder in one of the next two windows.
Milinkovic-Savic would be the perfect player for them, but Lazio president Claudio Lotito has just come out and claimed that his star midfielder will cost an absolute fortune.
Speaking to Italian newspaper Il Messagerro, Lotito said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano: “I’ve no agreement with his agent to sell Sergej to Juventus or any other club in January.
Price tag for Milinković is no longer €100 million (£87.5m) — his value is €120 million (£105m) now”

TBR View:
Milinkovic-Savic is arguably the best midfielder in the Serie A.
The Serbian has scored four goals and provided seven assists in just 10 starts in all competitions so far this season. He has been absolutely sensational, and it is no surprise that he’s a wanted man.
The likes of Tottenham, Liverpool, Juventus and PSG have all been linked with a move to sign him over the last few months. He’s destined for a big move away, and the January transfer window could well be when he gets that transfer.
Milinkovic-Savic will enter the final 18 months of his contract at the start of 2023. As strong as Lotito will be in transfer negotiations, the midfielder’s value will begin to drop as he runs his deal down.
It will be interesting to see what happens in January, but if there’s one player who would take Spurs to a whole new level, it’s Milinkovic-Savic.
