‘Postpone season’: Some Tottenham fans fume with Premier League fixture announcement
Tottenham play at home to Manchester City on the opening day of the 2021/22 Premier League season – and some Spurs fans on Twitter are not happy with the announcement of the fixtures.
Spurs will host defending league champions Man City on 14 August.
The full fixture list has been released for the upcoming campaign.
They play back-to-back London derbies against Chelsea, followed by Arsenal in the month of September.
Additionally, they play Crystal Palace, Southampton and Watford during the space of seven days during the festive period.
They also finish the season on 22 May away to Norwich City.
Here are selection of Spurs fans on social media that are gutted with the Premier League fixture announcement.
Which manager will be planning the Tottenham Premier League fixtures?
The 2021/22 Premier League fixtures are out, but it’s still unclear on who will be in the Spurs dugout for the opening day.
Spurs sacked Jose Mourinho nearly two months ago, with interim boss Ryan Mason taking over for the rest of the campaign.
BBC Sport reports that Paulo Fonseca is the man close to be appointed the new manager of the north London club.
The 48-year-old boss has been targeted by Spurs’ new football managing director Fabio Paratici and talks are nearing a conclusion.
He’s available after leaving Italian club Roma this summer, which incidentally is where Mourinho has now taken charge.
