Watford could rival West Ham United for the transfer of Layvin Kurzawa, as the Paris Saint-Germain star’s agent has now offered him to the Hornets.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report the Frenchman’s representative is attempting to facilitate a January farewell. The 29-year-old has struggled to earn minutes at Le Parc des Princes this season and hopes to leave.

Kurzawa feels his future is completely blocked as Mauricio Pochettino favours Juan Bernat, Nuno Mendes and Abdou Diallo. He has only played once across all competitions this term, with a nine-minute cameo in August.

Pochettino awarded Kurzawa his sole outing to date in PSG’s Trophee des Champions defeat to LOSC Lille. The Argentine has also not included the left-back in a Ligue 1 matchday squad since the first game of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain are open to Kurzawa now leaving in January as they strive to trim their squad. So, his agent has approached Watford to discuss the full-back switching Les Parisiens for the Hornets this month.

Paris Saint-Germain to accept big loss on Kurzawa transfer with West Ham keen

Napoli are also interested in Kurzawa, with PSG’s €23m (£19m) arrival from Monaco in 2015 set to leave. But the Serie A side are not close to a deal, to offer his agent reason to look for options.

Earlier reports by Foot Mercato touted West Ham as an option, as Kurzawa looks to transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain. Napoli’s Serie A rivals Lazio are also keen. But Il Messaggero note the Biancocelesti may struggle to match his €4m-a-year (£64k-a/w) wage.

Yet PSG could cover some if Kurzawa leaves on loan. While Calciomercato add Les Parisiens want €4m (£3.5m) for a permanent sale and may accept €2.5m (£2m).

West Ham and potential Watford transfer target Kurzawa still has two-and-a-half-years left on his Paris Saint-Germain contract. He only renewed to 2024 in 2020, with the club he has won 18 titles with – including four Ligue 1s.
