West Ham are amongst the clubs interested in Layvin Kurzawa, with Paris Saint-Germain ready to let the 29-year-old leave during the January transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
It has been a frustrating season for Kurzawa. He had struggled with injury earlier in the campaign. But he has largely been completely out of contention to feature for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

He has not featured once in Ligue 1 this term, not even making the bench since the opening day. The left-back has only made one appearance in all competitions.
Nevertheless, he is attracting a lot of attention ahead of next month’s window. Foot Mercato notes that Napoli want the Frenchman. But there is also interest from West Ham and Lazio.

Understandably, Kurzawa is keen to leave in pursuit of more game-time.
West Ham will surely not take gamble on Layvin Kurzawa
While there is no shame in getting into the PSG side on a consistent basis, Kurzawa has seemingly never quite been able to cement himself in the left-back position. In fact, he has never made more than 20 appearances in Ligue 1 in a single season since arriving from Monaco.
The Hammers have had injury problems in their defence this season. Both Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson have been sidelined of late.
But signing Kurzawa would arguably be a gamble. They have plenty of options on the left. And in truth, West Ham should probably be setting their sights higher.
Having said that, Kurzawa would not be the first written off player to go on and thrive at West Ham should he sign and do extremely well.
