Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for two players of the same club – Lille stars Jonathan David and Renato Sanches.
The Gunners have a very good relationship with the French champions. They’ve signed Gabriel Magalhaes and Nicolas Pepe from them in recent years and it won’t be a surprise to see them bring in two more this summer.
Arsenal will need at least one, if not two, top quality strikers. David has been absolutely incredible for Lille since the start of last season and CalcioMercato revealed not too long ago that the Gunners are leading the race to sign him.
Sanches, on the other hand, has been linked with a move to Arsenal for a long time. He is a quality player too and Jeunes Footeux claimed last week that he is a priority target for Mikel Arteta this summer.

David and Sanches both started for Lille as they battered Clermont Foot a few days ago.
Les Dogues won the game 4-0 and the Canadian striker scored the second goal of the day, assisted by none other than Sanches, another fellow Arsenal target.
To celebrate the goal, the two Lille stars decided to take a leaf out of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette’s book. They bowed down and shook hands in front of the cameras and Arsenal fans will surely love that.

Arsenal fans will not get to see Aubameyang and Lacazette’s iconic handshake at the Emirates anymore, which is really sad for many of them. Perhaps, that could be recreated by two new players next season.
David is a phenomenal player and he will surely be on the wish list of multiple top clubs this summer. The Canadian, still only 22, has scored 17 goals already this season, which is a phenomenal record when you consider that he has only scored once in Ligue 1 this year.
Sanches, on the other hand, is a sensational player as well. He has well and truly turned his career around after joining Lille and if Arsenal really want him, they can get him for as little as £16 million in just a few months’ time.
It will be really interesting to see if Edu and Arteta will go for the two Lille stars this summer.
