The Manchester City squad has overseen plenty of change over the summer transfer window, with Pep Guardiola now getting used to the new players at his disposal.
City have started the season with mixed fortunes, as fresh relationships form during the next step in the team’s evolution.
Man City’s draw with Arsenal showed a different side to the team, with a style of play not usually associated with Pep Guardiola.
Some of the signings certainly hint towards a change of style, but not all of them.
For one of Man City’s arrivals, however, there may be some frustration as to how the season has started.

Jamie Redknapp claim on James Trafford frustration at Manchester City
The summer transfer window saw several areas in the Manchester City side change, but none more so than the goalkeeping ranks.
Ederson left to join Fenerbahce, while Man City signed James Trafford as their initial number one option between the sticks.
The youngster had some mixed performances, pulling off a few saves but suffering from a few mistakes in big moments.
Then, shortly after his arrival, Man City signed Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has quickly become the first-choice for Guardiola.
While Trafford was given an opportunity in Man City’s Carabao Cup clash with Huddersfield Town, Jamie Redknapp believes the goalkeeper will be frustrated.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “I could imagine [he is] disappointed.
“I also think, probably from Thomas Tuchel’s point of view as well, he’d be thinking ‘oh I could have done with him really pushing’, because he’s a fantastic keeper.
“It’s been difficult, obviously made a couple of high-profile mistakes, but he’s so good at playing out, and he’s a really good keeper.
“I really like him, but Donnarumma comes in, Donnarumma has to play, it’s as simple as that.”
Trafford could still play an important role this season, but it may not be the same level of importance as he expected when joining.

James Trafford outlined his desire to improve at Manchester City
While there may be some short-term frustration for Trafford at Man City, he may be better for it in the long term.
Being able to learn from a coach such as Guardiola, as well as working behind a top option such as Gianluigi Donnarumma, can only make him better.
That was part of the appeal for Trafford, as he revealed when he joined the club.
Speaking to the official Man City website when he signed, he said: “I am also so very excited and honoured to have been given the opportunity to work under Pep and with such a world-class group of players.
“I am still very young and hungry to keep learning and improving – and I know there is no better environment than Manchester City to help make me become the best goalkeeper I can be.”
With that being part of the plan, there is a longer-term aspect to this signing that could pay off in years to come.
