Premier League star Pedro Neto who has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur has now been talking about the club.

Neto, who has been crucial for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season after overcoming a series of injuries, has now beaten Spurs both home and away.

Spurs are having a strong debut season under Ange Postecoglou but have suffered the occasional set-back.

And as Neto goes on to describe, perhaps their style of play is particularly vulnerable against a side like Wolves, who possess a lot of pace up front.

That being said, Tottenham have now often been linked with a move for Pedro Neto, making these comments even more intriguing.

Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that someone at Hotspur Way absolutely loved the winger and said a move was one to keep an eye on.

And given how he performed during his recent visit to North London, you’ll probably be hard pressed to find a Spurs fan who wouldn’t be happy to see the Portuguese forward arrive in the summer.

Pedro Neto says he enjoyed playing against Tottenham’s high line this season

Neto was speaking on the ‘1 Para 1’ podcast in Portuguese and said that he loves it when teams offer him space to run.

He explained: “It’s not easy at all. Here at home we are very strong.

“It’s very difficult to play here in our ground because those big teams come in with a very high line and we have some fast players up front which I think was what did it, you know.

“The team defends well and if they give us an opportunity we have players up front who can solve the game in a single moment.

“It happened against City as it happened with Tottenham. For me, it’s good to have that space obviously! When I see a little space like that I get all happy.

“It happened a lot here. Those teams come to win, of course, and we have our strengths and when we catch those teams off guard we have players who can kill the game.”

And whilst a price tag of around £80m could be steep for Tottenham, at 23-years-old Pedro Neto clearly still has so much potential to fulfil.

Perhaps Spurs are already well stacked in wide positions too, but fans may feel that you simply don’t pass up on such a signing regardless.

All that being said, one Tottenham player has now confessed that he absolutely loves it at the club since joining last summer
