Although we’re still well short of the season’s end, it’s clear that Tottenham Hotspur had an incredibly productive summer transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou had only been at the club for a short period, and was dealing with the Harry Kane saga, and yet a lot of progress was made.

Both Micky van de Ven and James Maddison have proved to be exceptional signings, two deals that have also represented really good value.

And whilst Brennan Johnson is yet to fully penetrate the starting eleven, he is now proving his worth as a difference maker in games.

Of course, that strong business didn’t end in January, with Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin both arriving to add vital strength in depth.

It seems as if all of the names mentioned have settled so well at Spurs since they have joined as well.

And Tottenham fans will be very happy to hear what James Maddison has now been saying about life at the club this season after he joined in the summer.

Maddison, who was speaking to We Are Tottenham TV after the win against Crystal Palace on the weekend, said he absolutely loved being a Spurs player.

Maddison said he saw an opportunity to be Spurs’ number 10 this season, and rightly predicted that he would fit in well.

He said: “I absolutely love it here. I feel like the club was made for me, I have always been a fan of some of the players who have played in my position in Spurs teams in the past.

“When I was looking at my options in the summer I just saw there might have been a little gap for me to come and slot into this side and this club and everyone has taken to me brilliantly – so thank you for that.”

It really is a move that has worked out so well for both Tottenham and Maddison this season, and it’ll be interesting to see who arrives in the summer to help the England international progress the club.

Gary Lineker has recently been praising the club’s recruitment himself, sharing the three recent deals he believes to be the best

And with Tottenham thought to be in a strong financial position ahead of the off-season, fans will hope to see the club flex their muscle once again.
