Tottenham Hotspur kicked off the South Korean leg of their pre-season tour with a 4-3 win over a K-League XI in Seoul on Wednesday.
Spurs impressed in the opening half, surging into a 3-0 lead at the break courtesy of a Son Heung-min brace after Dejan Kulusevski had opened the scoring.
The hosts hit the ground running in the second half via a Stanislav Iljutcenko brace, though the impressive Will Lankshear went on to put Tottenham two goals clear.
Oberdan struck a superb long-range volley late on to reduce the K-League XI’s deficit to a single goal, but Tottenham held on for a fourth pre-season victory.

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min a ‘top-class player’
Tottenham fans and neutrals at the stadium alike will have been buzzing over Son’s display, the South Korean hero once again showing his impressive quality on the pitch.
Speaking after the game, K-League XI coach Park Tae-ha was eager to sing the Spurs captain’s praises.
“Son is always a top-class player who can show great ability at any moment,” said Park, as per Korean football journalist Sungmo Lee.
Son will be eager to deliver fruitful season for Tottenham
Son is, without a doubt, a legend for Tottenham and South Korea. However, it seems as though he remains unappreciated in the context of English football.
Spurs enjoyed a bright season last time out, although there’s still a lot of work to do, as per the team failing to hang on to their top-four spot.
However, the foundations are certainly there, and Son will be eager to help Tottenham enjoy a fruitful season, hopefully even challenge for silverware.
Spurs are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Bayern Munich at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
Tottenham will then face the same opponents in the Visit Malta Cup a week later, after which Spurs will get their Premier League campaign under way away at Leicester City.
