Pundit Owen Hargreaves has been very impressed with AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori amid interest from Arsenal.
Hargreaves was on BT Sport covering the Champions League semi-final between AC Milan and Internazionale.
Before the match, Hargreaves was very complimentary about the 25-year-old centre-back.
After failing to establish himself at Chelsea having been sent on loan several times, he made the move to Serie A in 2021.
In his first season in Italy he helped AC Milan win the league title, becoming a mainstay in defence.
This season has been trickier for Fikayo Tomori, but his performances still warranted discussion about his potential inclusion in the England squad.

He’s already earned three senior caps but didn’t make the cut to go to Qatar.
Hargreaves has been impressed with Tomori, although Arsenal may not have been too impressed with his most recent outing.
AC Milan were sucker punched by their fierce rivals early on, and Tomori could do nothing to stop them from racing into a two-goal lead.
Hargreaves praises Arsenal target Tomori
Speaking ahead of the game on BT Sport, Hargreaves said: “First of all, he’s done a brilliant job, credit to him for going and trying to experience something new.
“But that goes into AC Milan’s data and analytics and signing young players, they don’t have the superstars anymore. The Pirlos or the Seedorfs or the Kakas anymore.
“They’ve got to go for the young players as they can’t compete with the Premier League money.
“He’s one of those players, they saw a rough diamond and he’s been perfect for them.”
Arsenal have been considering Tomori as they look to upgrade areas of their squad going into next season.
Edu has already looked to Serie A recently to improve Arsenal’s defensive options.
Jakub Kiwior arrived in January from Spezia and has recently leapfrogged Rob Holding in the pecking order.

The 27-year-old is unlikely to be up to the required standard needed to compete in the Champions League next season.
Hargreaves has been impressed with Tomori’s performances in Europe, and that may what Arsenal are looking for this summer.
Too often last night he dove into challenges unnecessarily and struggled to cope with Edin Dzeko.
He might not be the Gunners’ first-choice this summer, but Arteta may also believe he can improve the centre-back like he has so many other players during his time at The Emirates.
