Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has been speaking to the club’s official website and says Lucas Moura is still injured – admitting the player will be ‘out for a long time’.
Conte provided a fresh injury update ahead of Spurs’ Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt tonight.
Moura has been an important squad player for Spurs ever since he made the switch from Paris Saint-Germain for £25 million (Sky Sports). Conte has relied on the Brazilian in a similar way but has been without him since the middle of August.
The Italian previously said he was expecting to have Moura back after the recent international break. But it seems the Spurs winger has suffered yet another setback in his recovery.

Conte says Moura is still injured
Speaking to Spurs Play, Conte provided an update on the fitness of both Moura and Dejan Kulusevski.
He said: “They are both out. About Deki [Kulusevski], we hope that the situation is going to improve quickly.
“About Moura, he’s stopping himself again, and I think he will stay out for a long time. The doctors they are not solving his problem.”
Conte admitted after the north London derby defeat that he is ‘really worried’ about Moura and that he is a long way off full fitness.

Spurs looked worryingly light in terms of attacking options on Saturday as they fell to a 3-1 loss to bitter rivals Arsenal. With both Moura and Kulusevski sidelined, Conte only had the option of Bryan Gil from the bench.
Moura has only played 12 minutes so far this season, with two appearances from the bench against Southampton and Chelsea in August.
While Moura has undoubtedly fallen down the pecking order after the arrivals of Kulusevski and Richarlison, Conte will still be desperate to have the winger back as soon as possible.
Tottenham face a packed fixture schedule before the World Cup gets underway next month in Qatar. Kulusevski’s injury and yet another Moura setback could not have come at a worse time for the Spurs boss.
