'Only a matter of time': Alan Shearer suggests ‘unbelievable’ player could be on his way to Liverpool

Alan Shearer believes that Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham could be on his way to Liverpool.

Speaking ahead of England’s World Cup clash with Iran on the BBC, the pundits were discussing the 19-year-old.

Bellingham’s future has been widely discussed all season given how well he’s been playing for Dortmund.

The teenager scored in each of Dortmund’s first four Champions League matches this season.

He also wore the captain’s armband against Sevilla, something he’s done on a number of occasions in this campaign.

Bellingham opened his England account in the first-half with a fantastic header, scoring the Three Lions first goal of the tournament.

Liverpool know they may face competition from some of the biggest clubs in world football to sign Bellingham.

A report from the Daily Mail suggests Manchester City are confident of signing him.

Real Madrid are unlikely to let an English club sign him easily, with Sky Sports News suggesting they’ve already approached him.

Bellingham will be playing on the biggest stage knowing that some of Europe’s top clubs are keenly watching.

And Shearer now believes that Bellingham could be on his way to Liverpool in the summer.

“That’s the talent you are talking about.”

Considering Shaw could have chosen the likes of Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling, that’s a big statement.

The 19-year-old’s future is going to be one of the biggest talking points next summer.

If Bellingham is on his way to Liverpool, it could be seen as one of the best pieces of business they’ve done in some time.

Wherever he goes, it appears his days playing in the yellow of Dortmund are already numbered.
