Nottingham Forest want to sign Ruslan Malinovskyi but he's hoping to join Tottenham
According to CalcioMercato, Atalanta star Ruslan Malinovskyi is really hoping to join Tottenham Hotspur today despite interest from fellow Premier League clubs Nottingham Forest and Leicester City.
The 29-year-old Ukrainian has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over the last few weeks, but rumours have gone quiet. However, things can change very quickly on transfer deadline day.
Ruslan Malinovskyi’s greatest hope is to join Tottenham
Spurs are reportedly looking to bring in a new right wing-back today. That seems to be their priority at the moment, but Malinovskyi is keeping his fingers crossed over a potential move to North London.
The report claims that a move to Tottenham is Malinovskyi’s ‘greatest hope’ at the moment. He really wants to join Spurs, with reports previously claiming that it’s his dream to play for the club.
Sadly for the ‘extraordinary‘ 29-year-old, it’s extremely unlikely that Spurs will make a move for him now. That means he’ll have to consider his options, and thankfully for him, there are two on the table.
The report claims that Leicester City and Nottingham Forest are the two alternatives for Malinovskyi, who has entered the final year of his contract at Atalanta.
Tottenham’s three-man transfer deadline day shortlist
Football journalist Dean Jones has revealed that Tottenham have lined up three options to bolster their right-wing-back position before the transfer window shuts tonight.
He claimed that Conte is looking for a “right-sided version of Perisic,” who has made the left-wing-back position his own following his move from Inter Milan this summer.
Jones revealed that the three names on Spurs’ shortlist are Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco, Leeds United winger Dan James and Wolves’ Adama Traore.
It will be interesting to see if Conte will be able to get one of those players in before 11:00 pm tonight.
