Nottingham Forest set sights on Tete after Tottenham transfer links
TalkSPORT reports that Nottingham Forest have set their sights on signing Brazilian winger Tete – a player Antonio Conte wants at Tottenham Hotspur.
Steve Cooper has guided Forest through a difficult start to life back in England’s top flight and has picked up positive results since the return of Premier League football.
The Reds are now two points clear of the relegation zone and Cooper will be keen to bolster his squad this month.
Of course, Forest backed the Welshman considerably over the summer but it seems they are already lining up potential deals this month.
Tete has been linked with a move to north London over the past week, with Dean Jones claiming Conte’s men could make a late move for the winger. But it seems that Forest have also joined the race as Cooper aims to bolster his attacking options.
Forest set sights on Tete
TalkSPORT reports that Forest have Tete firmly on their radar this month, with the player currently on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
The 22-year-old is still a Shakhtar Donetsk player but he has spent the first-half of the season in France due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Tete is said to be open to moving to the Premier League to join Forest, while Everton and Wolves are also showing an interest.
Forest made a staggering 22 signings over the summer but it seems the Midlands club are not slowing down as they aim to stay in the Premier League beyond this season.
Tete has been exceptional in France so far this season, scoring six times and providing three assists in 15 Ligue 1 appearances.
The Brazilian has been described a ‘special’ talent and is thought to be worth around £25 million.
Conte will be on the lookout for another forward player after injuries to Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison in recent weeks.
While Forest will be eager to improve the quality of their attacking players, after the signing of Emmanuel Dennis hasn’t really worked out so far.
