‘No fear’: Declan Rice says ‘exceptional’ player wanted by Liverpool has ‘got everything’

Declan Rice has been speaking to TalkSPORT and says reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham has ‘got everything’. 

Liverpool’s interest in the ‘exceptional’ Bellingham has been well documented and it seems likely that Jurgen Klopp’s men will eventually make a move for the Borussia Dortmund starlet.

Recent reports suggest the Reds are ready to smash their transfer record to sign Bellingham next summer.

The 19-year-old is seen as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe and has put in some dazzling displays since moving to Germany from Birmingham City.

Rice plays alongside the youngster for England and has heaped praise on the Dortmund man. 

Rice says Bellingham has ‘got everything’

Speaking to TalkSPORT, Rice said he hopes to play alongside Bellingham for England for years to come. 

“I think he’s energetic, he’s strong, self-belief, no fear. He’s got everything,” Rice said.

“As a 19-year-old now, obviously he’s been training with us since he was 18, but he’s a man. Played on the big occasions already, he’s ready to play.

“Obviously it’s down to the manager to pick what he thinks is best. When I played with Jude, I loved it.

“It takes time to settle with a partner, you’re not going to get that connection straight away but over time you do.

“Even with all the other midfielders in the squad, I hope that we can go on for the next 10 years and create a special bond in the middle of the pitch.

“With Jude, if it’s him I get to play with, or Hendo [Jordan Henderson], or Kalv [Kalvin Phillips], even if I’m not involved I hope everyone does well because that’s what you need as a squad.

“You need a squad and you need everyone to be at it and you need be ready whenever you’re called upon.” 

Liverpool have been long linked with a move for Bellingham and it seems likely that he will move away from Dortmund in the future.

Klopp has brought in Arthur Melo from Juventus on a season-long loan, but that seems to be a temporary addition rather than a long-term one.

If Bellingham does become available in the future, there’s no doubt that Klopp will face a lot of competition to sign the talented midfielder.
