Micah Richards has predicted that Harry Kane is ‘not coming back’ after leaving Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

Ange Postecoglou‘s job got incredibly harder after Kane left the club just before the start of the Premier League this season. Tottenham have done well without him, but you can’t help but wonder how much better Spurs would be right now if he was the one leading their line.

Micah Richards says Harry Kane is ‘not coming back’ after leaving Tottenham

Harry Kane‘s future was always a hot topic in every summer transfer window during his time at Tottenham.

The Englishman was linked with a move to numerous top clubs over the years, but Daniel Levy somehow always managed to keep hold of his star striker.

Last summer, however, after Kane entered the final year of his contract, Bayern Munich came in for him, and after weeks of negotiations, a deal was agreed between the two clubs.

Kane joined Bayern and he has been on fire in the Bundesliga, scoring 26 goals and providing eight assists in just 24 appearances for the German champions.

In the latest episode of the Rest is Football podcast, after Micah Richards claimed there aren’t many top strikers available on the market, Lineker joked that Kane could come back to England to dethrone Alan Shearer in the all-time Premier League top goalscorers list.

“I’ve got one that could come back. Harry Kane could come back and beat Shearer’s record,” Lineker said

Richards immediately replied: “No, he’s not coming back, no chance!”

Shearer then said: “Yeah, stay away Harry, good lad.”

Tottenham can re-sign Harry Kane one day

We all know how tough a negotiator Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is, and although that trait of his has annoyed Spurs fans at times, things have worked out in their favour with respect to Harry Kane.

When Spurs sold the Englishman to Bayern Munich in the summer, they seemingly managed to include a clause that opens the door to re-sign him one day.

The exact details of the agreement are unclear, but Levy confirmed that Tottenham do have the ability to re-sign the England captain if he ever wants to return to the Premier League.

Levy told Bloomberg back in September: “The actual precise detail of the contract with Bayern Munich should remain confidential.

“All I would say is if that one day Harry wanted to come back to the Premier League, and he wanted to come to Tottenham, we would have the ability to purchase him.”
