Newcastle United’s latest signing, Nick Woltemade, has been raving about the ability of one of Tottenham Hotspur’s former stars.
Newcastle signed Woltemade for £65m over the summer to replace Alexander Isak, who joined Liverpool in a British record deal.
The German made a great start to his Premier League career as he opened his account on his debut for Newcastle against Wolves.
Woltemade has been discussing an ex-Tottenham Hotspur star, whom he claims is a player he looks up to and models his game on.

Nick Woltemade says Harry Kane is ‘the best striker in the world’
Nick Woltemade says Harry Kane is ‘the best striker in the world’ and claims that his all-round game is ‘amazing’.
Tottenham sold Kane for over £100m back in the summer of 2023, in a period which saw him end his trophy drought by winning the Bundesliga title last season.
When asked to name the best striker in the world, Woltemade told Sky Sports Premier League Podcast: “Think, Kane, I like him how he’s playing. He’s like his shots are amazing.
“Yeah, I think we obviously haven’t seen as much of him recently because he’s gone over to the Bundesliga. Premier League legend. The things he’s able to do with the ball, you mentioned him earlier as a player you might have based a bit of your playing style on, he’s definitely a player I look up to.
“His all-round game is amazing. I’ve played against him like four times. I don’t know how many goals he’s got against me, but he’s always hitting the ball perfectly, even in the box. I’ve never seen a player so good like that. Such a good player.”
Harry Kane’s 2026 release clause at Bayern Munich
The 32-year-old’s return to the Premier League looks to be on the cards, as the striker has a release clause which comes into effect next summer.
Reports in Germany suggest that Kane will have a £54m release clause in the summer of 2026, which could see him return to England’s top flight.

Recently, Michael Owen said Kane was ‘nuts’ to leave Tottenham, given how close he was to becoming the all-time Premier League goal scorer.
Ian Wright predicts Kane could return to the Premier League, and the former Spurs man just seems destined to return at some stage in the future.
