TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Newcastle United have stepped up their search for a new striker, with talks under way over Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani.
The Magpies have missed out on a number of attacking targets this summer, including Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko.
In addition, a stand-off is under way between Newcastle and Alexander Isak, who is wanted by Liverpool.
TBR Football can also confirm how the Magpies feel about having missed out on so many targets so far this summer.

Randal Kolo Muani emerging as viable target for Newcastle
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Newcastle have spoken to PSG and Randal Kolo Muani’s representatives about an interest in moving to St James’ Park.
Newcastle have had Kolo Muani on their radar since January, when PSG offered him around Europe and he joined Juventus, having rejected a move to Tottenham.
Juve have been in talks all summer to bring him back to the club, but they have been unable to agree terms – PSG want a permanent deal or at least a loan with obligation worth over £50million.
We have already revealed this summer that Chelsea and Tottenham had been alerted to Kolo Muani’s situation, and now we can confirm that Newcastle have joined the hunt.
Newcastle are looking for a replacement for Isak, who is expected to join Liverpool, but they have come up short in their attempt thus far.
Newcastle have the likes of Nicolas Jackson on their radar, along with Ollie Watkins, and now Kolo Muani is emerging as a viable target.
“Kolo Muani has been set for Juventus for most of this summer, but his people have been doing work on other options in recent weeks as talks with PSG have stalled,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“I am told that Kolo Muani was open to a move to England in January before he opted for Italy and Juve, but now a Premier League option is available again.
“Spurs are still interested but Newcastle are now very much in the mix and pushing forward with talks as they are looking to see what a deal would look like.
“PSG are more than open to a deal, and we understand they have informed Juventus that they are now talking to other clubs.”
Kolo Muani is a player who Kylian Mbappe has previously described as “very complete”.
Samu Aghehowa offered to Newcastle
Bailey continued: “I am told that Newcastle have been presented with so many options in the last week,
“They already had a host of names they liked but now we have seen Kolo Muani and also Samu Aghehowa offered.
“Newcastle are working on all these names, although most they were already well aware of.
“They have suffered some blows – but I am told confidence is high that they can bring in someone who is right and who can replace Isak.
“Let’s not forget Yoane Wissa is seen as replacement for Callum Wilson.”
TBR Football previously confirmed that the likes of RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda and Premier League duo Evanilson and Rodrigo Muniz are also in the Newcastle picture.
In addition, we understand Newcastle have done background checks on Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
