Alasdair Gold has told The Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast that there has been the slightest hints from those around Harry Kane that a new contract at Spurs cannot be ruled out entirely.
For much of the summer, it seemed inevitable that Kane would leave. He has been heavily linked with Manchester City.

The striker fuelled speculation by not returning to pre-season training when many expected. And a statement he subsequently made regarding his absence reportedly left many at Spurs baffled.
Kane is not in the strongest position. He agreed a six-year deal back in 2018. So Spurs are under no pressure to sell.
It is incredibly hard to see Kane repairing his relationship with Tottenham. Certainly, if he leaves, there will be an incredibly sour taste left in the mouth of many.

But perhaps there could yet be a remarkable turnaround. Gold was discussing Kane’s situation. And he hinted that the England captain signing fresh terms at Tottenham is not completely out of the question.
“There’s little bits of noises coming out from around his camp to not entirely rule out a new contract for him, which would be an incredible u-turn,” he said on The Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast.
Harry Kane will want assurances over future exit if he signs new Spurs contract
Tottenham are in a fantastic position. Kane will be nearing his 31st birthday when his current deal is set to expire.
So Spurs may still have their reservations about a deal if contract talks did start.
They will be wary of the events of this summer repeating themselves further down the line.
And surely, Kane will want some sort of release clause included in any fresh contract.
Obviously, that looks a long way off right now. But it is fascinating that a new contract could well be an option at some stage further down the line.
