Arsenal have come flying out of the traps this season, with several of Mikel Arteta’s recent signings proving to be really important for his team.
The Gunners defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 over the weekend, as Eberechi Eze scored a wonderful goal against his former side.
Arsenal now find themselves four points clear at the top of the Premier League table after nine matches played.
The likes of Gabriel Magalhaes and Eze have been on fire this season and rightfully been praised, but there are three

Viktor Gyokeres, Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber’s importance hailed
The trio of Viktor Gyokeres, Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber have been hailed by TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey.
Gyokeres’ performances for Arsenal have been questioned, perhaps due to his lack of goals; however, it’s work off the ball which has become so important.
Meanwhile, Calafiori and Timber have both seemingly established themselves as Mikel Arteta’s two first-choice full-backs and have really improved the attacking side of their game.
Bailey told Beyond The Back Four: “Gyokeres, who I thought had a fine game, actually. The way he moves defenders around. I think with him, people really don’t see that he really does add an extra element to Arsenal. I think it’s been a huge factor for them.
“But people staying fit, Calafiori and Timber staying fit. Those two fullbacks, I think they’re, not the unsung heroes of this team, but they are really, really good, those two. I think they really are fabulous.”
This season, Arteta has given his full-backs the license to get forward and Timber has admitted this is something which he is enjoying.
“The details are a bit hard, but they expect a lot from you in different kinds of positions. I think we have a structure, but we have freedom to move within that structure, and I think it’s something we enjoy,” Timber told Sky Sports.
Jurrien Timber is a sign of Arsenal’s superb transfer strategy
Football finance expert Kieran Maguire was also full of praise for the North London club’s recent recruitment, with Arsenal’s signing of Timber for £39m proving to be another top deal.
The Dutch defender is quickly becoming one of the best right-backs in Europe, so the Gunners will be delighted to have landed him for relatively cheap.
“It’s a horrible phrase, but it’s marginal gains, and I think Arsenal have a strategy. It’s a long-term strategy. I don’t see a weakness in the starting 11 every time I look at them, and I don’t see a weakness on the bench,” added Maguire.
TBR Football understands that Arsenal are offering Timber a new contract to reward the defender for impressive performances.
