‘Never in doubt’: Robbie Keane and Kieran Trippier react to Tottenham Hotspur man’s Instagram after emphatic display

Tottenham Hotspur had a field day against struggling Leicester City, putting six past Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Youri Tielemans opened the scoring from the spot for the visitors at the second attempt, after Hugo Lloris was penalised for his first penalty save.

Harry Kane scored his customary goal against Leicester, before Eric Dier put Spurs ahead.

James Maddison scored a wonderful goal to put the Foxes level at the break, but it all fell apart from there.

Rodrigo Bentancur scored his first Tottenham goal before the star of the show entered the pitch.

Son Heung-min came on for Richarlison on the hour mark like a man with a point to prove.

It took the South Korean just 14 minutes to score his first goal of the evening, and another 14 minutes to complete his hat-trick.

Son is an incredibly popular player at Tottenham, and had the support of past and present Tottenham teammates after posting on Instagram.

There was an outpouring of his teammates, and former Tottenham players congratulating the 30-year-old.

A former Tottenham player who knew how to find the back of the net was Robbie Keane.

The Irishman said: “Never in doubt my friend.”

Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier added, “Well done bro.”

Another former defender Kevin Wimmer replied: “No 1.”

Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood called Son a ‘manager’s dream’, after the match and it’s no surprise why.

Son couldn’t have responded to being dropped to the bench in a better manner.

It was a worrying poor defensive performance from Leicester, and Son took full advantage.

Antonio Conte will be hoping Son can carry his form into Tottenham’s matches after the international break.

Whatever happens, Son will always have the support of his Tottenham teammates.
