Just four months after leaving Tottenham Hotspur, Davinson Sanchez could be on the move again with the centre-back keen to quit Galatasaray.

Davinson Sanchez left Spurs in early September after six years in North London. The fact that he did not live up to expectations is highlighted in the fact Tottenham made a £30 million loss on the Colombian, selling him for just £12.8 million.

Sanchez actually provided two assists as Galatasaray beat Manchester United in the Champions League. But it seems that his time in Turkey could only be brief.

According to Calciomercato. It, Sanchez wants to leave Galatasaray in this window. And he is attracting interest from Napoli, who have attempted to sign him on several occasions down the years.

Davinson Sanchez could join Napoli – four months after Tottenham exit

Sanchez is keen to make the move to the Serie A champions. And thus, there appears to be a deal to be done this month. The asking price is just £6.9 million.

Tottenham made the right call selling Sanchez. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old only showed glimpses of his full potential during his time in North London.

Admittedly, Ange Postecoglou’s side have had to deal with a number of injuries this season. Both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are currently sidelined. And that has meant that Emerson Royal and Ben Davies have played together on a number of occasions.

Spurs vindicated for selling Colombian

However, Postecoglou’s use of Eric Dier shows that he is not prepared to throw players in simply because of the position they play. And thus, Postecoglou may not have turned to Sanchez anyway.

It is interesting that the champions of Italy are now looking to secure his signature. But it also needs to be noted that his value appears to have halved in a matter of months.

So it will be intriguing to see how Sanchez fares if he now moves to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
