Mykhaylo Mudryk to Arsenal latest: £85m star drops another transfer hint

Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk has now posted a picture of himself in an Arsenal shirt on Instagram, amid rumours that Edu Gaspar could be about to sign him.

Mikel Arteta will be keen to wrap up a deal for the 22-year-old in the coming days after Arsenal have been locked in talks with Shakhtar since the beginning of the window.

Fabrizio Romano claimed just yesterday that the Gunners are speaking to the Ukrainian club ‘every day’ as they look to complete a deal.

Mudryk has made it clear that he favours a move to the Emirates, despite reported interest from Chelsea.

The winger has posted a number of hints on his social media accounts over the past few weeks, while also admitting that could not say no to joining Arteta’s side

And the talented youngster has now dropped yet another hint on his Instagram account today.

Mudryk posts picture of himself in Arsenal shirt

Mudryk posted a picture of his cat on his Instagram story but there is an interesting detail in the background.

The player can be spotted on his TV in an edited photo of himself wearing an Arsenal shirt, holding up a sign with his name on it.

Negotiations for Mudryk have been far from easy for Arsenal, with Shakhtar holding firm on their £85 million valuation of the player.

There have been suggestions that Arsenal are edging closer to reaching an agreement, but the Ukrainian outfit posted a picture of the winger in training yesterday

Arsenal are in need of attacking reinforcements this month, with Mikel Arteta short of options up-front.

Gabriel Jesus’ injury was a big blow for the Gunners, despite Eddie Nketiah’s promising performances in his absence.

Arsenal fans will be hoping Edu can get this deal over the line as soon as possible, with Arteta currently lacking quality back-up options for both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

Mudryk is clearly pushing for the move and it’s now down to Arsenal to find a compromise with Shakhtar over the fee.
