Arsenal have opened contract talks with Gabriel Martinelli, according to PA journalist Mark Mann-Bryans.
The Gunners forward has become an indispensable player for Mikel Arteta over the past year or so.
Arsenal signed the talented Brazilian from Ituano when he was just 18 years old.

He came in and quickly took the English game by storm.
Martinelli registered 10 goals and four assists in just 15 starts in all competitions in his debut campaign.
After his superb maiden season at Arsenal, Martinelli then fell out of the regular starting picture for a while.
But in November, the 21-year-old came off the bench against Newcastle, scored, and hasn’t looked back since.
Martinelli has played the full 90 minutes in both of Arsenal’s Premier League matches this season, scoring twice.
The “unbelievable” talent’s last contract extension came in July 2020.
However, it looks as though another one could be on the cards soon.
Mann-Bryans wrote on Twitter: “Understand that contract talks with Gabriel Martinelli have recently opened.
“Expected to be on much improved terms.
“Would be seen as a reward for fine form given he still has plenty of time to run on current deal and club already has an option to extend by a year.”
Arsenal are boosted by the fact Martinelli wants to stay at the Emirates for a long time – perhaps his whole career.
Earlier this year, Martinelli told ESPN Brasil, via the Daily Mail: “If I can, I’ll stay here my whole life.
“I want to conquer things, as I said, I want to stay here and win titles, with these wonderful fans, my teammates.”
