Aston Villa made several impressive deadline day signings to improve their squad, and Morgan Rogers has revealed his thoughts on those additions.
Jadon Sancho made a late move to Villa on a season-long loan as he continues to try to rediscover the form that had the world talking about him when he was playing for Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott also joined Villa on loan, with the West Midlands club having an obligation to buy clause, conditional on appearances.
It is going to provide Aston Villa with even more attacking options to help the likes of Rogers and Ollie Watkins as they attempt to secure European football at the end of the season.

Morgan Rogers believes Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho have ‘something to prove’
Aston Villa’s addition of Elliott and Sancho has brought more strength and depth to Unai Emery’s squad, with the two men being exciting players with a lot of upside.
Elliott and Sancho are looking to secure regular first-team football with this move, and Rogers told talkSPORT that they each have something to prove when they arrive at Villa Park.
“It’s just exciting, especially to play with English players that have also got something to prove in a sense of, I am sure they want to be in the England squad as well.
“Playing with them at club level, I think, will just help.
“Not only at Villa but also help themselves because the environment of our group and our club is really good, it’s just an enjoyable place to be.
“I’m looking forward to getting back and playing with them two especially.”
All three Englishmen could get the opportunity to link up on the pitch for Villa when Emery’s side returns to action on Saturday, 13th September, as they travel to face Everton.
Aston Villa need to get the best from Jadon Sancho
Both signings will impact Aston Villa’s attacking qualities, but out of the two, it is Sancho’s loan deal that has raised more eyebrows, purely due to his form in recent years.
Gary Lineker praised Elliott and admitted his surprise at Liverpool letting him go, with the young playmaker having shown lots of promise for Liverpool and England’s Under-21s.

| All Competitions | 28 | 5 | 3 | 822′ |
However, Sancho has something to prove after an average loan spell at Chelsea and failing to ever settle during his time at Manchester United.
That is where Emery will be hopeful that he can get the best out of him to recapture his previous form, where he proved himself to be one of the best assist-makers in the world.
