Leeds United kicked off their Championship campaign with a 3-3 draw against Portsmouth on the weekend.

The Whites will be disappointed with their season opener and Daniel Farke will be keen to add further reinforcements.

Following Crysencio Summerville’s departure to West Ham United, they’re thought to be in the market for his replacement.

Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe has been identified by Leeds and now the latest update on the deal has emerged.

Leeds still in Jonathan Rowe race

Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath took to X on Monday morning to provide the latest update on Leeds United’s pursuit of Rowe.

Evidently, it seems Marseille are currently leading the race for the 2003-born attacker but McGrath stressed that Leeds remain in contention.

The Whites are also thought to be keen on signing Crystal Palace wide player Jerusun Rak-Sakyi, though, it seems The Eagles are reluctant to allow him to leave on a permanent deal.

Leeds should have Morgan Whittaker on their radar

Morgan Whittaker should be on Leeds’ transfer shortlist along with Rowe and Rak-Sakyi.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a phenomenal season for Plymouth Argyle last year, netting 20 times whilst laying on nine assists.

The left-footed right winger would provide Farke’s side with great balance and could be a cheaper alternative to Rak-Sakyi.

Whittaker is thought to be available for around £10m, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, which is staggeringly low for a player of his calibre and promise.

Lazio were even in for the Plymouth attacker earlier this year, amplifying how highly rated he is.
