Micky van de Ven says one Tottenham player’s celebration is actually even better than James Maddison’s

There has been a lot of talk about celebrations at Tottenham Hotspur this week, and Micky van de Ven has named his favourite.

Spurs are one of the most attack-minded teams in the Premier League right now. That means they score plenty of goals, and many of their players have their signature celebrations. James Maddison‘s darts throw is one of the most popular ones, but Van de Ven says he prefers what another player does after he scores.

Micky van de Ven says Richarlison has the best celebration at Tottenham

Brentford striker Neal Maupay fired up everybody at Tottenham after he mocked James Maddison by copying his celebration this week.

The two players continued their feud after the game as well, with Maddison having a pop at Maupay in an interview and the Brentford man hitting back on social media.

After everything this week, you would assume Maddison’s darts celebration is on top of everyone’s list, but Micky van de Ven actually has a different favourite.

In a segment with the Premier League’s official YouTube channel this week, the Dutchman was asked whose celebration is the best at Tottenham.

At first, he picked Heung-min Son but quickly changed his answer to Richarlison’s pigeon dance.

He said: “Sonny…no no no, I would say Richy. I love the one from Richy.”

Richarlison has been celebrating a lot lately

Just a few months ago, very few people rated Richarlison highly.

The Brazilian had a poor debut season at Tottenham, and his start to this campaign wasn’t particularly good either.

However, since he returned from his injury, Richarlison has been outstanding. He has scored seven goals in his last seven Premier League appearances, and it looks like there’s no stopping him.

Richarlison’s pigeon dance will become a common theme if he continues this form, and Van de Ven, as he admitted above, will definitely not get bored of it.
