Michail Antonio has shared whether he believes that Arsenal can still win the Premier League title this season.
Mikel Arteta‘s men secured an important win against Crystal Palace at the weekend. The Gunners won 5-0 at the Emirates to end a run of three straight defeats in all competitions.
Arsenal now find themselves five points off top spot. There are currently eight points which separate the top five right now. Of course, Arsenal fans will hope that they can clear the hurdle this season which proved to be just a little too big for them last year.
Michail Antonio suggests whether Arsenal could still win Premier League title
But it does appear that Liverpool and Manchester City have the momentum right now. Both sides have won their last three Premier League games. The Reds are five points clear of their rivals. Meanwhile, Arsenal supporters are very much aware of how dangerous City can be in a title race.

So some may be tempted to relegate Arsenal to third favourites for the title. But speaking on The Footballer’s Football Podcast, Michail Antonio believes that Mikel Arteta’s side are still very much in contention.
“I wouldn’t say they are out of the title race. I think it’s too early to say that,” he said.
“If they can turn it around with their performances I think it’s a great opportunity for them. It’s like saying City is out of the title race, you would never say that because every year they have gone on a run. Arsenal had a blip over Christmas but if they can pick back up, this year nobody is running away with it so I feel like there is always an opportunity. Anything can happen.”
Gunners need to find another gear
There is no question that Arsenal have been disappointing of late. Ian Wright called on the front four to improve if they are going to really challenge again. And they are not the only players who have not been as impressive this season.
Much will depend on whether their less impressive performances are a sign of what is to come, or means that they have plenty left in the tank when the business end of the campaign gets underway.
