Ian Wright has admitted that he is going to begin to worry about Arsenal if four players do not begin to improve in the immediate future.
Arsenal return from the mid-season break in an interesting position. On paper, everything seems to be going well for Mikel Arteta’s side. They are perfectly poised in the Premier League title race, and they have the knockout stages of the Champions League to look forward to.
However, plenty of Arsenal fans will join Ian Wright in feeling slightly uneasy about what is to come over the rest of the campaign.
Ian Wright starting to worry about four Arsenal players
They have won one of their last seven games in all competitions. And they have only scored five goals in that run.

Unfortunately, the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard look set to go nowhere near their goals tally from last season in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus has only scored three times.
Bukayo Saka is doing better, with six goals. However, Saka does not appear to be at the same level he was last season.
And speaking to Stick to Football, Wright seemed to suggest that the quartet need to do a lot more if Arsenal are going to enjoy a special season.
“I’m not so fussed because we are creating chances. If we weren’t creating them it would be a massive problem. We have four players who are just not firing. That is an anomaly. That shouldn’t be happening. So you are hoping that kicks in. If that doesn’t kick in soon then you have to worry,” he said.
Gunners so close to taking that final step
Admittedly, the likes of Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah are freaks when it comes to their goalscoring. But it is alarming that Arsenal’s regular front four have managed one more goal between them than either Haaland or Salah this season.
Haaland has also only started 15 games in the top-flight.
Of course, Jesus brings so much to the team. But for all his brilliance, Arsenal are perhaps seeing why Manchester City were prepared to let him move on.
And the Gunners fans may be wondering whether that missing ingredient proves to be what stops them clearing that final hurdle once again this year.
