Michael Ballack has shared some advice to Kai Havertz after the 24-year-old’s rough start to life at Arsenal.
Speaking to Sport Bild, the Chelsea legend has backed the former Stamford Bridge star to finally find his feet at the Emirates Stadium having endured a bumpy first few months at the club.
Signed for £65m, Havertz has quickly become something of a scapegoat already at Arsenal, yet Ballack has suggested that the midfielder can soon find his best role.

Ballack said when asked about what Havertz has to do to improve his fortunes at Arsenal: “Kai Havertz has outstanding skills.
“But as already mentioned, he seems a bit too reserved for me. You need a certain robustness and mentality, especially abroad, to assert yourself in difficult situations.
“I hope he gets it done. In my opinion, it is still too early for that (an exit). He should assert himself at Arsenal by all means possible.”
Havertz needs to take Ballack’s advice onboard at Arsenal

With the likes of Perry Groves and even Aaron Ramsdale’s dad all aiming criticism at Havertz, it’s safe to say that the Germany international hasn’t had the best of starts at Arsenal.
The midfielder is yet to find his true calling under Mikel Arteta and it still could be some weeks or even months before such a revelation is found.
However, as echoed by Ballack, Havertz has the quality to become a real asset for Arsenal if given time and patience by fans and pundits.
And there’s a good chance Havertz can achieve this, with the former Bayer Leverkusen star a player of immense quality who is currently suffering from a lack of confidence.
