Radu Dragusin looks set to arrive as Tottenham’s first signing of the January transfer window.
Personal terms are said to be agreed on that deal, and it’s edging ever closer to completion.
Dragusin’s arrival will certainly alleviate many of Spurs’ defensive issues, but there will still potentially be a depth problem down the line.
Indeed, if Eric Dier leaves, as is expected, Spurs will still only have three senior centre-backs in their squad, and, in all honesty, that may not be enough.
Speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones has suggested that there is another defender Tottenham could look at bringing in, naming Spurs as potential suitors once again for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo.

Tosin could still be an option for Tottenham
Jones spoke about the Fulham defender’s options.
“You mention Tosin and rumours around him going quiet. I do wonder if part of that is Monaco signing Kehrer, there aren’t many places for him to end up this January. Maybe Tottenham could come in for him or something like that, but from a Fulham perspective maybe it helps that Kehrer is going to Monaco, so hopefully that makes it more difficult for Tosin to go,” Jones said.
One for the summer?
Tosin ending up at Spurs doesn’t seem unrealistic at all, but perhaps this could be more one for the summer rather than this month.
Fulham won’t want to lose Tosin at this point of the season. He’s been one of their best players these past few weeks and with Calvin Bassey headed off to the African Cup of Nations and Tim Ream struggling with injury, they need him in the team.
Luckily for Spurs, his contract is up at the end of the season, and by all accounts, he doesn’t plan on signing a new one, so perhaps they could pick him up on a free at the end of the season.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on.
