Mauricio Pochettino has singled out Son Heung-Min for praise ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Chelsea tonight.
Pochettino has been speaking to The Standard ahead of an emotional return to North London on Monday evening.
The Argentine boss will return to Spurs for the first time since being sacked back in November 2019.
It’s unclear what kind of reception Pochettino will receive at his old home after joining Tottenham’s London rivals over the summer.
But Pochettino has made his love for Spurs clear in the build-up to the game and now the former Tottenham boss has admitted he’s delighted to see Son doing well under Ange Postecoglou.

Pochettino says Son is a ‘great player’
Speaking to the media ahead of tonight’s clash, Pochettino lauded Son and admitted he was happy to see the forward named as Tottenham’s captain over the summer.
“He’s a great professional, a great player, I’m so happy he’s the captain,” the Chelsea boss said.
“People grow, people become more mature, and they are top of the table so he must be doing something good as captain.
“When people you like and love are happy and doing well, that increases your personal happiness.
“We are this type of people that love and enjoy when people we know and you are part of his life are doing well.”

Son rose to prominence under Pochettino after the Argentine boss brought him to Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2015.
The South Korean star established himself as a world-class forward under his guidance and despite several changes in the managerial department at Spurs since, Son has maintained his brilliant form over the years.
The 31-year-old has rediscovered his best form under Postecoglou this season after a difficult campaign last time out.
Son has netted eight times and provided one assist in 10 Premier League appearances, with only Erling Haaland managing more goals at this stage.
There have even been suggestions that Harry Kane’s departure has helped Son as the forward has moved into the striker position.
