Chelsea take on Tottenham tonight on Monday Night Football and it looks like Mauricio Pochettino has already made his mind up on Nicolas Jackson.
The Blues forward has been under pressure this season due to a lack of goals but his work-rate and endeavour has won him plenty of praise as well among Chelsea fans.
Jackson is being tasked with trying to be Chelsea’s main man in attack. But with just two Premier League goals to his name, the Senegal international is struggling.
However, according to The Evening Standard, Jackson is set to be given another chance by Pochettino tonight against Tottenham.
Nicolas Jackson set to start for Chelsea v Tottenham
The Standard reports that Jackson is set to be given the nod as part of a four-prong attack featuring Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk.
It’s suggested that Jackson will get his place in the starting XI, with Noni Madueke being the man to miss out for the big game.

Chelsea paid £32m to sign Jackson in the summer but as yet, they’ve not really seen a return on that fee in terms of goal output.
A number of new signings have also struggled like Jackson. However, a big win against a side like Tottenham tonight could give the young Blues a big platform to build on.
Jackson to haunt Tottenham
It wasn’t that long ago that Nicolas Jackson was being tipped for a move to Tottenham and tonight could be his chance to show them what they’re missing.
Despite showing promise in terms of some of his play, strikers are judged on goals and for Jackson, it’s getting to a point where he needs to start delivering them.
The young forward makes good runs and works hard. But at the moment, he lacks composure and much like Darwin Nunez at Liverpool, misses big chances in big moments.
Tonight is a chance for Jackson to put things right. Spurs are the in-form team in the Premier League and if he can get on the scoresheet and help see Postecoglou’s men off, then it’s a big platform for him.
Chelsea fans, then, will be hoping Pochettino’s decision on the forward pays off.
