Jadon Sancho has sent out a new promise to Aston Villa fans, and his former Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford was quick to respond.
It has been a difficult start to the 2025-26 season for Unai Emery’s men, as the club have not won any of their opening five Premier League games.
Aston Villa sit 18th in the Premier League table and have only scored once all season, with the attacking squad struggling to make an impact.
To make matters worse, Aston Villa were knocked out of the EFL Cup in the third round, which led to Sancho attempting to restore some positivity and belief to the fanbase.

Marcus Rashford loves Jadon Sancho’s Aston Villa promise
Sancho is looking to rediscover his old form at Aston Villa, having joined the club on a season-long loan after not being wanted by Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
Sancho reflected on Villa’s latest game, which saw them draw 1-1 against Sunderland, despite the Black Cats having 10 men.
He took to Instagram to make a promise to fans by saying, “Unfortunate not to get the win over the weekend, head up and go again to make things right!”
Rashford was quick to respond, posting a blue heart in the comments section, showcasing that he loves the sentiment of Sancho’s message.
Of course, Rashford has an emotional connection to Aston Villa after spending the second half of last season on loan there.
While he didn’t return to Villa Park, Rashford did help convince Sancho to join the club this season; therefore, he has a vested interest in what the winger does this season.
Sancho’s Aston Villa teammate also commented in the comment section, ” Broski,” as he will also be looking to find some solutions moving forward.
Jadon Sancho has struggled to make an impact for Aston Villa
Rio Ferdinand backed Sancho to be a success at Aston Villa, but so far, he has struggled to have any influence on the team.
The draw against Sunderland was the first time Emery has used the winger in the Premier League, but he was only handed an eight-minute cameo, having little time to make a real impact.
Gabby Agbonlahor warned Sancho that if he didn’t perform, he wouldn’t get game time at Aston Villa, and now it’s up to him to deliver on his latest promise.
