Barcelona player Marcos Alonso has made a big at Tottenham Hotspur after their 4-2 win over the North London side last night.
Alonso – who spent six seasons at rivals Chelsea – posted on Instagram after the full-time whistle.
Tottenham’s pre-season schedule has finally come to an end with their first competitive game just a few days away.
It’s been a hectic summer for Ange Postecoglou, having to reorganise a bloated squad and solve the issues that cropped up last season.
Spurs still need to move on plenty of players but their starting line-up should be stronger going into their game against Brentford.
However, Marcos Alonso couldn’t help but make a dig after Tottenham’s defeat to Barcelona yesterday.

His love for Chelsea clearly hasn’t dampened after leaving Stamford Bridge last summer.
Alonso only played the final thirty minutes of the game but was on the pitch for Barcelona’s comeback.
Alonso takes dig at Tottenham after Barcelona win
The Spanish international posted a picture of him in action last night on his Instagram.
Alongside a photo of him dribbling with the ball, he said: “Some things never change. Barcelona 4-2 Tottenham.”
Alonso is of course referring to Tottenham’s recent struggles to win a trophy.
However, he obviously wasn’t watching Richarlison happily celebrate with the Tiger Cup trophy after their 5-1 win over Lion City Sailors.

The Joan Gamper Trophy would have held an equal place in Tottenham’s trophy cabinet had they won the match yesterday.
Despite Alonso’s dig, Tottenham would be very happy with their performance against Barcelona.
They led for much of the match, with Oliver Skipp’s brace the highlight of the match for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
The young midfielder may have given Postecoglou a difficult decision to make at the weekend.

With James Maddison nailed on to start, Postecoglou has a wide range of different midfielders would who could fill the two other spots in the centre of the pitch.
He’s also got to decide who will start at full-back on either side and if Micky Van de Ven is ready to play on Sunday.
The next few days will involve Postecoglou making plenty of tough calls.
