Marcelo Bielsa has claimed following Leeds United’s win over Newcastle on Wednesday that Rodrigo Moreno is improving with every appearance, while he suggested that the Spaniard’s header along with Jack Harrison’s finish were the two goals that stood out – in comments reported by Leeds Live.
The Whites got back to winning ways in some style at Elland Road. The Magpies initially took the lead, and pegged Leeds back after the home side had gone 2-1 in front.

But Bielsa’s men found another gear. They scored three times in the final 13 minutes to get the points.
The fifth goal came from a stunning strike from Harrison. The winger found the top corner from distance as Leeds launched another devastating counter attack.

Meanwhile, it was a fantastic night for Rodrigo. It was his header that set up Patrick Bamford for Leeds’s first goal. And he put them in front with a superb effort just after the hour-mark.
It was a performance that saw Rodrigo lauded by a number of fans. Bielsa agreed that he stepped up, while he also shed light on his favourite two goals.
“The ones I have most in my memory at the moment are the Rodrigo one and the last one from Harrison.,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live, when asked about the best goal.
“As he gains more minutes, he improves every time and today he had a lot of incidents in the game,” he added, when asked about Rodrigo’s overall display.
Rodrigo has not had the easiest time since coming to Leeds. He took a little while to find his feet. And he initially looked a little rusty after returning to the fold from isolation last month.
But Wednesday provided an emphatic reminder of what he can do. It also highlighted just how superb Leeds can be when at their best.
