After securing the signatures of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United are now swiftly turning their attention to a striker.
Ruben Amorim has the tough task of rebuilding the Red Devils with his philosophy at the forefront – and that means a complete overhaul at Old Trafford.
Mbeumo and Cunha are great signings, but they need more. It’s now widely reported that a striker is next on Amorim’s list.
But with options slowly dwindling, who will the Red Devils sign? Well, recent reports suggest that one of Europe’s hottest wonderkids could be United-bound.
Manchester United want Benjamin Sesko
The Red Devils have seemingly turned their attention to Benjamin Sesko. United wanted Sesko last season, but the Slovenian decided to stay at RB Leipzig.
The Red Devils are in the process of shortlisting targets, and Sesko is seemingly high on that list. Other names include Nicolas Jackson and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.
The Telegraph reports that a move for Sesko can only be sanctioned via player sales, and while the club have players to sell, actually getting rid of them is a different matter.
Sesko’s price is reported to be valued by Leipzig at around €80million (£69.3million), although it remains to be seen if Manchester United would be willing to meet that asking price.
That said, it’s probably a fair price to pay given the ludicrous numbers that surround the 22-year-old.

Sesko is Europe’s most prolific striker under the age of 23
Leipzig’s talisman is a wanted man for a reason, and that’s because he’s the most prolific forward under the age of 23 in any of Europe’s top five leagues. 27 goals since the start of last season is quite a ridiculous return.
A worthy investment? It’s hard to say. When Manchester United signed Rasmus Hojlund, the feeling was that they had secured a goalscorer to lead the line for years to come. Two years down the line – they’re back at square one.
United look like they will get a striker in this window, whether that’s Mr Benjamin Sesko will be revealed in due time.
