Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are interested in signing Gleison Bremer from Juventus.

That is according to CalcioMercato, which has reported the steps that United have taken regarding a potential deal for Bremer.

So, what has been reported about Manchester United and Gleison Bremer? Let’s take a look.

Manchester United linked with Gleison Bremer

Well, according to CalcioMercato, Manchester United want to sign Gleison Bremer from Juventus.

The report in the Italian news outlet claims that United have “already taken concrete steps to try to understand the willingness of the player and the club to talk about a transfer”.

Juventus are in talks with Bremer over a new contract. The former Serie A champions are very happy with how the Brazil international central defender has done for them.

CalcioMercato has added that although Juventus do not want to sell Bremer in the final days of the January transfer window, the Italian giants could cash in on the 26-year-old centre-back for €70 million (£60 million).

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Bremer, who joined Juventus from Torino in 2022. Chelsea wanted to sign the Brazil international centre-back in the summer of 2023.

My View: Gleison Bremer could be a good signing for Manchester United

In my opinion, Juventus central defender Gleison Bremer would be a good signing for Manchester United.

Bremer is 26 now and his best years are ahead of him. The Brazil international is playing for Juventus, one of the biggest and most well-known clubs in the world, so he would not be fazed by the prospect of turning out for United.

United could do with signing a quality centre-back in the summer of 2024. Jonny Evans is 35 now, Harry Maguire does not always play and Raphael Varane has had injury problems and could leave at the end of the season.

Victor Lindelof has not always been great for United, while Willy Kambwala is only 19. Lisandro Martinez is a class player, and I think that Bremer would be a good partner for him at the back.

Bremer has scored two goals in 22 Serie A matches for Juventus so far this season. The 26-year-old scored four goals and gave one assist in 30 league appearances for the Bianconeri in the last campaign.
