Manchester United have been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson and fans have made their stance clear.

The Red Devils have been looking to strengthen their midfield ranks for some time.

They pushed hard to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer, but as TBR Football previously revealed, Man Utd were unwilling to meet the Seagulls’ £100m price-tag.

It has now emerged that Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson is on United’s radar.

Manchester United fans want Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest

Andy Mitten claims that the Forest star is the most likely midfielder to move to Old Trafford.

Fans have since taken to social media to react to the news, giving their seal of approval to the deal.

One fan claimed: “Seems Anderson is the real deal. Bossed midfield on Saturday against us.”

“He gave us so many problems when we played Forest. I am good with signing him,” tweeted another.

A third went as far as to suggest the Forest ace is a ‘Roy Keane regen’.

Several also expressed how they would prefer him over Baleba.

One fan wrote: “I might sound crazy now but I prefer him to Baleba.”

“Hope this is true, he’s far more what we need than Baleba, as a first priority in midfield anyway”, suggested a second.

A third added: “I prefer this midfield demon over Baleba to be honest.”

While a fourth Utd fan stated: “He has Baleba’s strength and Wharton’s sharpness.. I prefer him.”
