Arsenal target James Maddison will cost the Gunners more than £60m this summer.
According to Goal’s Charles Watts, the attacking midfielder has moved towards the top of the side’s transfer list.
However, it is thought Leicester City’s valuation of the ace will likely be ‘problematic’.
Arsenal have so far failed in their pursuit of an attacking midfielder this summer.
They were interested in signing Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard on a permanent transfer. However, he is set to stay with the Spanish giants, according to The Athletic.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa snatched Emiliano Buendia from the club’s grasp, outbiding the north London giants.
Maddison enjoyed a good campaign with the Foxes, contributing 21 goals on their way to an FA Cup victory.

TBR View: £60m cost for Maddison tempting amid Arsenal move for White
Over the last 24 hours, it has emerged that Arsenal bid a staggering £40m for Ben White.
And analysing a move it proves pretty baffling. The club already have two right-footed centre-halves, so, why are they trying to sign another?
However, one thing you can deduce from a chase of White is the club’s mindset during this window.
If the team believe it’s worth spending a staggering amount for a rotation option at the back, than they’re likely to splash out up front.
The north London giants are in desperate need for a creative threat, even more so than they are for a defender.
There is a high chance that despite Leicester’s valuation, £60m is unlikey to worry the Gunners.
And on the face of it, he’d be worth the money.
Not only can the 24-year-old provide the creative spark the Gunners so dearly desire, but, he’s also a goalscorer.
£60m may seem like an expensive cost for Maddison, however, in the current market, it suits Arsenal to take the move.
The ace would fix a lot of the problems and add quality in the final third.
