‘Love it’: Jack Wilshere and Fabian Balbuena send messages to West Ham star on Instagram

Jack Wilshere and Fabian Balbuena both sent positive messages to West Ham star Declan Rice on Instagram after his England performance at Euro 2020.

Hammers star Rice started in England’s 2-0 victory against Germany at Wembley Stadium. As a result, Gareth Southgate’s side will face Ukraine at the quarter-finals of the Euros competition.

Rice, 22, was a physical presence in the centre of the park, alongside Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips.

The central midfielder put in a composed performance against a strong German opposition, so it’s yet another hurdle he’s overcome.

He receives criticism at times from neutrals, but he comes delivering on the big stage.

Wilshere, who spent a couple of years at the London Stadium, messaged Rice after England’s win on Tuesday.

In addition, centre-back Balbuena showered him in praise. He’s been a teammate of Rice for three years, but his contract was not renewed by West Ham at the end of the season.

West Ham supporters go on about Rice so much because he’s a quality operator.

Transfer rumours about his future seems to surface every window, but the difference now is that the Irons do have European football to offer their talisman next season.

He can do a bit of everything in the midfield. However, England’s backline must love the ugly stuff he does in front of them.

He’s capable of rubbing shoulders with some of the best around and he should only get better given his age and lack of experience.
