Liverpool are one of the busiest clubs on the market on transfer deadline day.
The Reds are closing in on the signing of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, while Liverpool’s plan is also to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Richard Hughes is hard at work behind the scenes at Anfield, but it’s not just incomings that he has to worry about on the final day of the window.
One Liverpool player could leave the club on Monday.
Joe Gomez to AC Milan ‘likely’ after Liverpool’s Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi deals
Joe Gomez completed 10 years at Liverpool earlier this summer.
The defender joined the Reds from Charlton Athletic in 2015, and he has won almost everything at the club over the last decade.
Gomez, hailed as Liverpool’s strongest player by Cody Gakpo, came on as a substitute against Arsenal on Sunday, and he looked brilliant after replacing Ibrahima Konate in the heart of the defence.
However, with Giovanni Leoni signed and Guehi a very possible signing on deadline day, along with Isak, Gomez’s future is up in the air.

TBR Football revealed back in June that Liverpool will not stand in Gomez’s way if he asks to leave the club.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that AC Milan are ‘confident’ of agreeing terms with Liverpool for his signature on deadline day.
He tweeted: “AC Milan are confident to agree terms with Liverpool for Joe Gomez as soon as Liverpool get deal done for Marc Guehi, if Palace approve it.”
In another tweet, Romano said: “Joe Gomez to AC Milan is also a likely exit if the defender approves the move.”
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner breaks silence on Marc Guehi’s future
Guehi entered the final year of his contract earlier this summer, and his future has been up in the air since.
Liverpool have been interested in Guehi for a long time, and the expectation is that they will make a move to sign him before the window shuts.
However, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has made it clear that he does not want to sell Guehi on Monday because his side have no time to find a replacement.
He told BBC Sport on Sunday night: “I told the chairman we have to keep Marc if we want to play a successful season.
“We have no chance to find the right replacement in one day. We all agreed that we just sell Marc if we have the right replacement in the building.
“We wanted a replacement by 1 July. It is 31 August and we have no replacement. We have this agreement so it is clear from me. He is such a crucial player. He is one of our key players – he is our captain.”
