After exiting Euro 2024, Liverpool could speed up a deal to sign one of the fastest players on the continent.
Arne Slot has been biding his time in the window but there’s been plenty of discussions going on behind the scenes.
It’s understood that Atalanta midfielder Ederson has held several discussions about joining Liverpool this summer.
As well as Ederson, Liverpool are also keeping an eye on a £35m player who’s just been knocked out of Euro 2024 – so Slot should accelerate the deal to sign him.

Liverpool should now move for Jeremie Frimpong
Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Netherlands and Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong in recent weeks.
In fact, TBR reported last week that Slot was in contact with the 23-year-old, who has been labelled as ‘incredibly fast’ per the Bundesliga website.
Now that he’s out of Euro 2024 – following England’s 2-1 victory – The Reds need to speed up a deal to sign him before rival suitors make approaches.
Frimpong has a £35m release clause and is thought to be open to a move to Liverpool this summer following a title-winning season at Leverkusen.
Jeremie Frimpong profile
Frimpong largely operated as a right midfielder last season and even pushed up as a winger at times in Leverkusen’s back three.
The Dutchman netted 14 times whilst laying on 12 assists across all competitions – taking his total goal involvements to an impressive 26.
If Liverpool were to land his signature, it could allow Trent Alexander-Arnold to push on into midfield – where he’s played at times under Jurgen Klopp’s stewardship.
