Liverpool have reportedly shown an interest in signing Tottenham forward, Heung-Min Son, and Jamie Carragher is a big fan of the Korean star.
As reported on TBR this week, 90Min have claimed that Liverpool have expressed an interest in Son, who is yet to sign his new Spurs contract.
Of course, any deal would be hard for the Reds to get over the line. Son is seen as key for Spurs, with Jose Mourinho previously lauding him as a ‘special player and special human’, while in charge of the club.

However, Liverpool fans can dream. And if Jamie Carragher’s assessment last season is anything to go by, then Son could have a similar impact to that of Mo Salah at Anfield.
Carragher praises Son
Despite being Liverpool through and through, Carragher couldn’t quite bring himself to put Mo Salah in last season.
Even though Salah hit 22 PL goals to Son’s 17, when you add assists, both players contributed the same to their teams. And Carragher, at the time, believed that elevated Son above Salah.
“I went for Son. I was thinking about Mo Salah being the top goal scorer, but Son, I was thinking about goals and assists, Son has more than Salah combined,” Carragher said. (via the Evening Standard)
“Obviously Salah takes penalties, but Kane is the penalty taker, so that’s the reason for Son. Next to Son I’ve gone with Harry Kane, both of their numbers are brilliant considering they’ve played most of the season in a team which is defensive.”
Dreamland
The thought of Mo Salah and Heung-Min Son in the same team is a scary prospect to be honest. However, a deal is surely really unlikely.
He’d cost an absolute fortune for one, while he’s always seemed happy at Spurs.
Still, Liverpool fans can live in hope. If they did sign Son, then they’d very much be in dreamland.
