Liverpool are reportedly interested in raiding West Ham for winger Jarrod Bowen – and Ian Wright’s verdict will certainly excite Reds fans.
Bowen, 24, has been on fire for West Ham this season – having a hand in six goals during his 15 league and cup outings. Three goals, three assists.
But it is more than just the stats that sees Bowen catch the eye. The English winger’s work rate, and impact as a team player, impresses most.
So much so, that Jurgen Klopp is an admirer. Back in the summer, The Athletic reported that Liverpool want West Ham’s £25m (Express) ace.
This was before he continued to improve this season. Speaking after Bowen netted one of West Ham’s four goals against Villa, Wright was impressed.

He spoke of how hard-working Bowen is and if he can continue to combine that with goals, then he will become a “sensational” player.
“The work he puts in down the right-hand side, Jesus Christ. He got eight goals last season,” Wright said, on his Wrighty’s House podcast.
“If he can continue to get goals and put work in like that, we are talking about a sensational player. Sensational find.”
Wright verdict on Bowen explains why Klopp wants him at Liverpool
We all know the way Jurgen Klopp gets his Liverpool side to play football. They work incredibly hard, press high, and their wingers score goals.
You get wingers, who like to hug the touchline and whip a cross in – or wingers that are inverted. Ones that go beyond the striker and score.
Ones that have a nasty streak in them, ones that are selfish. Bowen is a bit of all that. Work rate, selfishness, goals, stamina, skill.
It is easy to see why, as Wright explains, why Liverpool want him. Has he got the ability to rival Mo Salah and Sadio Mane? Time will tell.
