Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Thiago display vs Wolves

A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Thiago Alcântara after his sublime performance in the Reds’ Premier League win over Wolves on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men picked up another three points on their travels this season. However, they were forced to be a lot more patient than they have been at any other stage this term. Divock Origi scored the only goal in stoppage-time at Molineux.

Bruno Lage’s men have proved difficult to beat in this campaign. So Liverpool will have been delighted to leave with the three points, particularly when one looked to be on the cards with the full-time whistle looming.

One of the standout performers for the visitors was Thiago. In fairness, the 30-year-old had gone into the game having already silenced his doubters with a brilliant run of form.

Nevertheless, some Liverpool fans felt that he still produced his best performance yet for the club. Certainly, many were hugely impressed with how he dealt with the threat posed by Adama Traore.

He made 80 accurate passes – only Virgil van Dijk managed more – and two tackles, according to Whoscored.

Thiago also continued to make an impact further up the pitch. He came close to scoring after the break. Unfortunately, there would be no repeat of his incredible strike against Porto against Wolves.
