Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move to sign Watford star Ismaila Sarr in January – and Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter.
Sarr, 23, is quickly emerging as one of the best players outside of the top six. His four goals in nine Premier League games are just the start of the story.
The Senegal international – a teammate of Sadio Mane for the African Cup of Nations frontrunners – has impressed throughout his Watford spell.
Initially, Sarr netted five goals and laid on six more in 28 Premier League outings during his first season. But it did not stave off relegation.
Instead, Sarr stayed at Watford and his 23 goal involvements in 39 Championship games saw the Hornets instantly return to the top tier.
Now, he is shining in the Premier League again – despite a change of manager at Vicarage Road. Sarr is on fire, and Newcastle are keen.
The Mail say Newcastle’s new owners want to make Sarr their first signing of the January window. But Liverpool have also been linked.

Newcastle eye Sarr: Liverpool fans frustrated on Twitter
Liverpool need additions out wide. Mo Salah and Sadio Mane remain first choice, but they need another man in the side to cover the two superstars.
Of course, AFCON is coming up – but Sarr will also be playing at the tournament. 90Min claim Sarr is a target for Liverpool, from the summer.
Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Newcastle are keen on Sarr – and many are frustrated, hoping they get him instead.
