Liverpool fans react as Joe Gomez reportedly becoming 'agitated' at Anfield

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is reportedly becoming frustrated at a lack of game time under Jurgen Klopp – and Reds fans have reacted on Twitter.

Gomez, 24, is struggling for game time. Since recovering from a long-term injury, like Virgil van Dijk, he has been watching from the bench.

The £3.5million (BBC) signing has only managed six appearances this season – four of which have come the substitutes bench.

Starting twice, he was part of the side that beat Milan – and the one that easily overcame a struggling Norwich in the Carabao Cup.

Perhaps understandably, Gomez is becoming concerned that he will not get the required game time to win back his England place ahead of Qatar.

Little over 12 months remains between now and the 2022 World Cup, and Gomez is desperate to be on the plane. But he is warming the Reds bench.

90Min say Gomez has spoken to Klopp about his lack of game time. He is not looking to leave, but could do so if things have not improved by January.

It must be hard for Gomez, given he has done little wrong. Before his injury, he was first choice alongside van Dijk. Now fit, he is fourth choice.

Ibrahima Konate was excellent on Sunday against Manchester United, while Joel Matip has partnered van Dijk for much of the season so far.

Liverpool fans took to Twitter. Some were understanding, some suggested Gomez looks for a loan move, others think he should train harder.
